As my week has turned out to be much busier than I anticipated, so this will be a short post. Even so, it's about a subject and nft project that I am very happy to share with you - Artist Trading Cards (aka ATCs).
I'm quite new to ATCs, but I really enjoy making them as I feel they allow me a lot of freedom to create. I usually make my cards with the recipient in mind, but my ATC designs are much less bespoke. Whether your medium is paint, paper, ink or whatever, ATCs are a great way to play with your art. There's only one constraint and that's the size of your canvass. I find that they're a great way to use up bits of paper that I've collected over the course of my card making.
I've only made a handful of ATCs so far and I've only traded a couple of them with a good friend of mine. Below is a collage I made with bits of paper, emphemera and stamps. I think it's easy to guess the theme!
I'm also working on series of 'artist affirmations' that I plan on finishing as part of my 2009 Creative Goals. And I'd love to trade with other ATC makers, so let me know if you are one!
