Print by Reid Seifer (check out The Best is Yet to Come too!)
Hello! As promised last week, this is part deux of the 'Optimism Art' series for Friday I'm in Love - the feature where I post about the things I love in the realm of craft, handmade and indie design. Last week, I posted about some of the lovely art typography prints I've found that leave me with a glass half-full feeling. Since then, I've found even more to share with you. So let's get started!
Aren't these Gocco prints by Jess Gonacha lovely? I think they'd be great framed along a staircase.
The adorable prints above and below are by Laura George. She has lots of great work at her Supermarket shop.
The Poster List is a great site for awesome prints. The Leopard and I recently ordered four posters, including 'Keep Calm and Rock On'. As much as we like the original design, this one was a bit more our style (and slightly less ubiquitous).
Last but certainly not least, there is this fantastic print by Koko Studios. I particularly love this one because it references the song that The Leopard and I listen to (or sing) when one (or both) of us is feeling overwhelmed or stressed about something. In fact, I'd really like to make a piece of art or craft about the song myself. I see that Koko has a cool Half Full print too, which is worth checking out.
So that's part II of the Optimism Art series. Hope you enjoyed it and it helps you start your weekend on an optimistic and happy note. To help even more in that regard, I'll leave you with our favourite version of Three Little Birds*. Happy weekend!
* In 2007, I was a notetaker at a conference that Gilberto Gil attended. I didn't get to meet him, unfortunately (I was too shy), but he seemed like a really nice person!
Those Gocco prints are awesome. They have a graffiti quality to them that I really like.
The last print is also very cool. Quite the mixture of colour and texture. We might need one!
